Prioritizing Well-Being: Helping Yourself Help Others

2026 Annual Meeting and Workshop

The Society of Indiana Archivists, in partnership with Indiana University Archives, Bloomington, is hosting its Annual Meeting in Bloomington, Indiana, on Friday, April 17. The Annual Meeting will feature presentations that provide practical examples of how to balance workloads, prioritize wellbeing, and still achieve our core mission as heritage professionals. Topics include setting realistic goals, re-evaluating existing practices, creating a culture of support, and finding joy in our day-to-day work.

This year's Pre-Annual Meeting Workshop will be a half-day hands-on workshop about film identification and preservation. The IU Libraries Moving Image Archive (IULMIA) will be presenting a lecture on film identification and best practices for preservation followed by a camera-less filmmaking session where attendees will draw, scratch, and otherwise manipulate film that will then be spliced together and presented at the start of the afternoon tour later that day.

For more information, visit 2026 Annual Meeting and Workshop.

LEU and ARC credits are available.
